‘Locked Down’
'Locked Down' is a dance for film birthed during the Covid-19 pandemic and inspired by personal experiences that were brought forth by having to isolate. The film is a window into the mental and emotional states felt whilst the quarantine took place. These states in which the dancer inhabits express ideas of loneliness, anxiety, freedom and escapism. The lacking sensation of touch, repetitive patterns, restricted space, discovering oneself and finding freedom are also notions which fuelled the movement language.

“Bridge is a young choreographer with the beginnings of a strong voice.”
Lyndsey Winship, The Guardian.
“Carroll draws attention to the much-missed sensation of touch”
“Now more than ever the need to create and share new work seems paramount. As we emerge from this moment of separation, stillness and reflection, dance has so much to contribute to a freshly minted community of togetherness and understanding. Dance connects people. We dance to move you and Jordan’s choreography touches raw.”
Wayne McGregor, Artistic Director of Studio Wayne McGregor
